Second Trimester (13 to 28 weeks)

FOURTH LUNAR MONTH (13-16 weeks)
Fetal growth is particularly striking from now. Your baby has doubled in length since the 7th week and by week14, your baby is about 3-4 inches long. By the 15th week eyebrows and hair on top of the head starts to grow.

FIFTH LUNAR MONTH (17-20 weeks)
By the end of the fifth lunar month or 20 weeks gestational age, the fetus is about 8 inches long and weighs 240 grams. Some fat has been deposited under his skin, but he is still quite thin. His skin is less transparent. Hair has appeared on his head, and downy hair called lanugo is covering his body. This is the midpoint of pregnancy.

SIXTH LUNAR MONTH (21-24 weeks)
Your baby's body is getting plumper but the skin is still wrinkled. It's face and body looks more like that of an infant at the time of birth. You may find a pattern; at certain time of the day your baby is very active, while at other times he or she is asleep.

SEVENTH LUNAR MONTH (25-28 weeks)
Around this time, your baby begins to see the world around it. Your baby begins to open and close its eyes inside the womb. Your baby is becoming plumper and rounder, because there is an increase in fat. The amount of brain tissue also increases.
